DAS UNHEIMLICHE #2 – TRITON

Välkommen till utställning i mitt hem, beläget i Sven-Harrys konstmuseum. Utställningen består av originalbilder ur min senaste bok Triton som nyligen släppts på franska förlaget PLG Editions.

Triton innehåller fyra bildberättelser: Triton, Kolonialsjukhuset, Toten-Insel och Triton II. Bilderna har beskrivits som ”Drömmar på papper”.

För ett år sedan hade jag den första Das Unheimliche-utställningen. När idéen om att ha en "hemma-hos-utställning" föddes, uppstod ett antal frågor. Ville jag släppa in främlingar i mitt hem? När blir ett hem en offentlig plats? Jag kom att tänka på Sigmund Freuds essay Das Unheimliche. Det blev starten för de bilder som utgjorde utställningen. "Das Unheimliche” är ett begrepp inom psykoanalysen. Det betecknar den olusts-känsla som kan uppstå i samband med att hemmet/det familjära visar sig innehålla ofamiljära element som inte kan förenas med hemmet - varpå hemmet förvandlas till något o-hemtrevligt.

Signing Triton and Kolonialsjukhuset.

This weekend it was the Stockholm International Comics Festival. It was beautiful to meet the whole comics family. There were book-signings, talks & coffe during the days and mingling & parties during night.

I signed my book Triton at the PLG table since my french publisher Philippe Morin was attending. Also I did some signing at Sanatorium and LL-Förlaget.

LL-förlaget (The easy-to-read publishing house) is releasing Sherlock Holmes - the first book in their Classics Illustrated project. I got the pleasure of drawing my favorite Sherlock story The Final Problem. You can buy the book HERE.

SIS13 & TRITON RELEASE IN FRANCE

Tonight the Stockholm International Comics Festival opens. The festival takes place 26–28 April at Kulturhuset as every year. This year's theme is Escapism. More information HERE.

My French publisher Philippe Morin at PLG will be present at the festival during Saturday and Sunday. He will bring copies of my book Triton that will be for sale at the Sanatorium table. I'll be signing books at 15.00 on Saturday at Sanatoriums.

Triton is today officially released in France. It can be ordered from AMAZON or FNAC.

 Last weekend I was invited to the Angoulême International Comics Festival. It was the release for my new french book TRITON. On the 2nd of February it was a Swedish Party & TRITON Release arranged by Swedish Comics Association and my publisher PLG. Me and publisher/artist Fabian Göransson were bartenders making Sidecar classic cocktails to the guests. I had a great festival and I'm very happy with my new book. Big thanks to my publisher Philippe Morin and Fredrik Strömberg at Swedish comics association.

NEW BOOK TRITON IN ANGOULÊME

Triton, 60 pages b&w, hardcover 21x15 cm, french text, 15 €. 

 My new book Triton published by french PLG arrived today from the printers in Bulgaria. The book consists of old and new material, making it a special book. I call it the french sister of my book Kolonialsjukhuset (Colonial Hospital). It contains Colonial Hospital but also Triton, Toten-Insel and the unpublished story Triton II: The Dream of the Fishermans Wife. It has a foreword by Fredrik Strömberg and the graphic design is made by Jens Andersson.  It will be presented at the International Comics Festival in Angoulême 31/1-3/2.

 It's now at the printers, my french book TRITON published by PLG. If all goes well it will be presented at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in January. Hope to see you there!
